How does 30-day free trial works?

It’s straightforward. Sign-up and start using MessageKite to text your customers. It’s on the house. If you find that MessageKite is not a right fit – simply cancel your account within 30 days – no questions asked. If you fall in love with it – simply continue using it with your selected plan.

 

What is the process of text-enabling my phone number?

The process is very similar to porting your mobile number from one provider to another. Except, with texting you only port the text messaging portion to MessageKite. Your voice provider and services remain intact.

 

How long does it take to activate my texting services?

Typically, in just 7-10 business days from the day you sign up, your account will be texting. This process does not affect your current service in any way.

 

How do I manage my text messages?

Your text messages are managed via MessageKite’s convenient web dashboard, where you can see all your conversations, respond to customers, manage your address book and more. You can also get email notifications when customers text you.

How can my business phone send texts?

Your business phone line doesn’t send texts. We simply add the capability to send/receive texts from our software using your existing phone number. It adds customer convenience and takes your communications to the next level.

 

Do I need to cancel or change my current provider?

No. Your existing services remain intact. Your current provider will continue to bill you for your phone and voice services. We’ll simply text-enable your existing landline numbers and provide access to a MessageKite web app so you can easily send and receive text messages.

 

Can I cancel or switch to other provider if needed?

Absolutely and at any time. The process is very similar to porting your number from one provider to another. Please contact us for more information.

 

What number customers will see when we text them?

Your customers will see your existing business number, your toll-free number or any new number you’ll choose at the registration. Generally, businesses choose to text-enable their existing business number, because customers already know it.

What features are included in my plan?

All plans include sending and receiving text messages in real time, autoresponder, contact management, message templates, message scheduling, email notifications and more. Please check our Features for more information.

 

Can I send marketing and promotional messages?

Text-enabled numbers are intended for person-to-person communication, such as providing business or appointment related information. They are not intended for mobile marketing purposes. We have zero tolerance towards spam and in case of misuse, we reserve the right to discontinue your services.

 

Can I personalize my messages?

Of course. Simply drag and drop the available data fields into your message and they will be replaced with actual names when your message is sent.  You can create message templates with personalized custom fields. Sample fields are first name, last name, appointment date, current time, etc. 

 

What is autoresponder?

Autoresponder is a feature that allows you to choose how to respond to a new incoming text message. For example, Autoresponder can send a predefined text message if new inquiry comes after the office hours and/or send you an email notifying you about the new message.

Can I send appointment reminders?

Yes. It can be easily done through your web app dashboard. In the Appointment Reminder window select the contact, the date and time you want your message to be delivered and it will be scheduled.

 

What are text message templates?

Message template are reusable messages to save you time when you want to send the same message over and over without retyping them. You can use message template in a variety of ways, for example to text your office address, send an appointment reminder, etc.

 

Can I Can I import my existing contacts?

Yes. You can import your existing contacts via .csv file. Go to Contacts page in your account dashboard for more information.

 

What if I am looking for feature that is not currently available?

We are constantly developing our app by listening to the feedback from our customers like you. If you have a feature request please contact us at support@messagekite.com and will be happy to help.

How do billing and pricing work?

When you sign up for your account and choose your plan, you will be asked to setup your billing information on our secure website.  Your selected payment method will be charged at the beginning of every month after your free trial finishes. 

 

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept major credit cards, or depending on the location of your business, you may also pay by Visa Debit.

What type of billing plans are available?

We have designed monthly or annual billing plans to suit needs of most small and medium businesses. Businesses can save up to 30% if choosing annual billing option.

 

How do I cancel my account?

You can cancel your monthly plan at any time by sending a request to support@messagekite.com. We’ll be happy to cancel your plan starting next billing cycle.
